Elizabeth Satchell
Elizabeth joined the Law Office of the Ozarks in November 2023 after over 11 years with the Missouri State Public Defender’s Office (MSPD). While at the MSPD, Elizabeth zealously represented clients on cases ranging from misdemeanors to serious felonies, sex cases, and murder. After graduating with a B.A. in Philosophy with honors, Elizabeth earned her law degree from UMKC School of Law with an emphasis in international law and with highest honors in public service. During her studies, in addition to other leadership positions, she completed a summer study abroad program in Amsterdam, the Netherlands focusing on international criminal law and international human rights. She transitioned from this experience to working for the MSPD, which she viewed as an extension of human rights. Elizabeth is passionate about holistic representation and mental health and has attended local, statewide, and national conferences on these topics.
Elizabeth continues to practice in criminal defense but has expanded her practice to include family law, guardianship/probate, estate planning, guardian ad litem work, and mediation. She enjoys serving her community and making connections through volunteer work and projects with local non-profit organizations. She has a particular interest in rural outreach, underserved communities, and those with special needs. Elizabeth believes professional development is incredibly important and makes every effort to attend a variety of conferences and trainings so she may assist each client with their unique needs.
